Austin Pawlak, 28, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
Austin was born on April 15, 1997, in East China, Michigan to Karen and Anthony Pawlak.
He will be remembered as a sharp mind and a true explorer of the world. Whether relaxing by a campfire or casually casting a line out in the water, Austin was someone who brought energy and insight into every space he entered. He had a gift for conversation with the ability to explore any topic with precision, curiosity and analytical depth and truly valued the voice of others. He was never afraid to ask the hard questions and seek the perspective of others while ensuring others were heard in return. Austin's brilliance, adventurous nature, and sense of humor made him a truly unforgettable person. He lived with courage, spoke with clarity, and loved deeply. He will be missed and remembered, Always.
He is survived by his loving parents, Karen and Anthony Pawlak; siblings, Brittany (Patrick) Reynolds, Brandon (Whitny) Pawlak, and Cheyenne (Josh) Pawlak; nieces and nephews, Jacob, Ethan, Pwen, Aspen, Jaxon, Weston, Oliver, Raegan, and Leighton; grandparent, Karen and Frank Pawlak and Carol Nephew as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his beloved cat, Miss Kitty.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerald Nephew.
The family honors the memory of Austin and invites you to visit and share memories Friday, October 17, 2025 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m with an evening sharing of memories at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond.
Memorials are suggested to "Wishes of the Family".
