Carol Lynn Posavac, age 84, longtime resident of Chesterton, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, in Valparaiso, Indiana. She was born on October 30, 1940, in Avalon, Pennsylvania, to William and Margaret (Petty) Sneiderwine. She was a waitress for 15 years at Leonard's Restaurant.

Carol is survived by her son, Louis (Heather) Posavac of Porter, IN; daughter, Lynn (Randy) Graham of Valparaiso, IN; two grandsons, Lukas (Alexandra) Posavac, Andrew Posavac; granddaughter, McKenna O'Hara; her brother, James (Janice) Sneiderwine.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard Posavac; sister, Joann Anderson; and brother, William Sneiderwine.

Carol was a great mom, grandma, wife, friend and neighbor.… a wonderfully special woman. Anyone that had ever met her loved her. She never met a stranger! She treated everyone as if they were family. She loved and accepted everyone, never judgmental. Carol's goal was to make anyone she met smile. She would dress in goofy, flamboyant, mismatched clothes just to make others laugh. She would say and do funny things just to make people happy. That was Carol…. funny, witty, happy, smiley, still sharp as a tack too! Carol had a love for animals. She simply adored her two kitties LuLu and Lola. She absolutely loved to sit and watch the birds and squirrels in her backyard. Carol loved to sit and watch game shows with her family. Shortly before her passing, she was still sharp enough to get the final puzzle on Wheel of Fortune before anyone else! The answer to the puzzle she solved was, "The Big Finale".

Mom, we will miss you terribly, life will never be the same without you here. We so very much love you. We all know your response and can still hear you say to us, "I love you more."

Private family services for Carol will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Lenny, at Chesterton Cemetery.

Arrangements entrusted to Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, Chesterton, IN. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.ee-fh.com.
