Carol Lee Restifo, age 83, of Erie, passed away peacefully at sunset, on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025.
Born on February 16, 1942, in Erie, PA to W. Raymond and Carolyn Biebel Sawdey.
Carol Lee graduated from McDowell High School, Penn State University, and received her master’s degree in education from Edinboro University. Before her retirement, she was employed as an elementary school teacher in the Millcreek Township School District. Carol Lee was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Junior League, Delta Gamma education sorority, volunteered at Kid’s Cafe, and had served as a Sarah A. Reed board member. She also volunteered at Emmaus Soup Kitchen. She loved reading, yoga, cross-stitch, knitting, jazzercise, and spending time with friends. Carol Lee touched many lives and will be remembered as a dedicated mother, wife, grandmother teacher, and friend.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Joe, and 2 siblings Mert Biebel and Nancy Roberts. She is survived by daughter M.C. Baker and her husband Greg and granddaughter Ziva, son Mark Restifo and his wife Tricia and their children Gavin, Luke, Dawson, Taylor & Ashton, sister Mary Ann Coughlin, sister-in-law Geri Restifo, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Downtown, 602 W. 10th Street, on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Private inurnment will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
