Carol Marie Robertson, 79, of Plainfield, passed peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at the Sugar Grove Senior Living in Plainfield. She was born in New York, New York on September 14, 1945 to the late Herbert Mooneyhan and Renée (Boykin) Mooneyhan.
She graduated from Hillsboro High School in Tampa, Florida. Besides being a busy wife and mother, she also worked as a housekeeper cleaning many homes over the years. On June 14, 1968, she married the love of her life, Hugh Burton Robertson. Her husband of over 56 years survives in Plainfield.
She was certainly a loving and dedicated wife and mother, but her favorite people called her “Nana”. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren playing games, reading, and more. Creative and with an eye for design, she enjoyed painting and refinishing furniture. An animal lover, she was quick to take in any stray. Also, she liked shopping and may have been addicted to chocolate.
She is survived by her loving family and friends including her husband, Hugh Robertson of Plainfield, son, Hugh “Burt” (wife, Heather) Robertson of Angola; daughter, Chante (husband, Ryan) Santulli of Plainfield; sister, Elizabeth Jean (husband, Al) Kulp of Seattle, Washington; and grandchildren, Indy, Isabella, Fife, Vincent, and Luciana.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, January 24th from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. Carol’s Life Celebration® Service will immediately follow, beginning at 6:00 pm at the funeral home. In keeping with her wishes, her earthly remains have been cremated.
