Carol Joyce Rogers, age 91 of Neenah, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday May 3, 2025. Carol was born on June 5, 1933 in Marion, WI. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Linda (Schmidt) Westphal. She attended New London High School and graduated from Neenah High School in 1951. She married Eugene Rogers on August 23, 1952, sharing 37 years together. Carol was a long-time member of Grace Lutheran Church in Neenah. She loved family camping trips and traveling throughout the U.S. and Alaska via motorhome. Carol also enjoyed bowling, golfing, walking, gardening and could identify any type of flower or plant. Carol spent most of her time raising her six children. She enjoyed people so much that she started a job in her 70's as a greeter at Sam's Club.
In later years, Carol found purpose sharing her faith in her Lord Jesus with people she would meet. She enjoyed journaling in her Bible and Portals of Prayer.
Carol is survived by her children: Debbie (John) Spilski, Scott (Debbie) Rogers, Sheryl (Jim) Piepenbrink, Dennis Rogers, Stacy (Eric) Schwandner and Leah Rogers; her grandchildren: Mike, Bryan (Beth) Spilski, Angela Spilski, Jen (Phil) VandenBranden, Brandon Rogers (special friend Vanessa),Hayley (Dalton) Clough, and Trent Rogers (fiancé Grace), Hanna Piepenbrink (Nick Nemecek), Rachel (Erik) Hosking, Sarah Piepenbrink (Ryan Fulcer), Colton Schwandner (special friend Lindsey), Addisen (Jake) Diehl; her great-grandchildren: Miller, Jackson, Kaitlyn Spilski; Jack Spilski; Everett, Evelyn VandenBranden; Cayson Rogers; Brady, Arthur, Marysta Clough; Isaiah, Lincoln Nemecek; Violet, Lyla, Henry, Hunter Hosking; Maeve Fulcer; Ona, Freyja and Sigrid Diehl. She is further survived by her twin sister, Carolyn Rhoden and sisters-in-law, Janet Westphal, Judy Westphal, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband Eugene, her siblings, Arlyn, Eleanor, Betty, Donald, David, William and Milyn and also her brother-in-law and his wife, Jay (Kathryn) Rogers.
The Christian Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday May 12, 2025 at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church 1390 Breezewood Ln. Neenah with Pastor Nathaniel Buchner officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery in New London. A memorial is being established for Grace Lutheran Church Neenah.
