Carol Lee Sassman, Fairview, Missouri, was born on January 7, 1940, in Topeka, Kansas, one of three daughters to Rollie and Dorothy Jean (Singer) Williams. She entered into rest on January 29, 2024, in Joplin, Missouri at the age of 84. Carol graduated from Silver Lake High School in Topeka, Kansas. She worked as a clerk stenographer for the State of Kansas Highway Department and later owned and operated a consignment store in Illinois. She moved to the area from Illinois and resided in Fairview, Missouri. She enjoyed baking, especially for holidays, and enjoyed collecting antiques. She was of the Baptist faith. On February 5, 1960, Carol and Gary 'Bud' Sassman were united in marriage and Bud survives. In addition, she is survived by three sons, Rollie Sassman of Stella, Robert Sassman and wife, Amy of Illinois, and Jeff Sassman and wife, Juliana of Neosho; one sister, Rita Reynolds and husband, Mike of Neosho and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends from 3:00-5:00 pm on Monday, February 5, 2024, at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho.
