Carol Ann Schmid, age 81 of Slinger, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, with her family by her side.
Carol was born on November 27, 1943, to Bernard and Veronica (nee Lauer) Kollenbroich in Hubertus, Wisconsin.
Carol Ann enjoyed many hobbies. From playing bingo and cards to spending time with friends and family. Carol enjoyed cooking and baking so much that she would often watch the food network for inspiring recipes. She also enjoyed volunteering and working at her parish church. When the weather permitted, you could find Carol outside in the sun enjoying the beautiful flowers in the garden.
Carol is survived by her daughters, Lori (James) Champan and Ann (Kelly Thomas) Schmid; sister-in-law, Claudia (James) Kollenbroich; grandchildren, Alex (Amanda) Witt, Taylor (Jessica) Witt and great-grandchild, Benjamin Witt.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Veronica; brother James and sister Evelyn Brugger.
Funeral Services for Carol will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St., Hartford, WI 53027). Family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m. until the start of service at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Fred Alexander, OCD officiating. So sorry to hear of Carol's passing. We lost touch many years ago. I stood up for her wedding. May she rest in peace! My sympathy to her family.
