Alice "Carol" Schultz, 85, went home to be with the Lord on June 2, with family by her side. She was the first born to Ernest and Ruth Storrer of Walla Walla, WA, older sister to Ernest and Phillip. She graduated from Walla Walla High School and then attended Whitworth College in Spokane, WA where she studied business. She then moved to San Francisco and worked for the Social Security Administration. On August 31, 1963 Carol married Gerhard "Geri" Schultz and the two moved to San Jose, CA where they had 2 children. Carol had boundless amounts of energy, joy, and love that she shared freely, especially with her family. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her 8 grandchildren. She taught them about having faith in Christ and how a relationship with God is the most important thing in life. She spent time baking, playing piano, singing, riding bikes and just being a silly grandma with them. Her grandchildren adored her because she spent time loving each of them individually and unconditionally. Carol's love for God and faith in Christ was at the center of everything she did and who she was. She was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church in Boulder where she served in many different roles through the years. She was part of a care team at church where she would visit the elderly, prepare meals for people, and help where she was needed. She also served as a deacon, helped with kids programs, and was a leader with Bible Study Fellowship for many years. She was a good friend to so many, enjoying learning about other people. Carol was active her whole life and enjoyed many sports. She was often seen on the tennis courts where her competitive side came out. She and Geri enjoyed many years skiing, biking, hiking, and camping with friends. Although traveling in the US was always a part of their life, in their later years they traveled to Europe, where they biked and visited with Geri's relatives. Although the past 5 years Carol suffered many ailments, she kept her hope in Christ and looked forward to being with her Savior in heaven. Carol is survived by her husband of 61 years, Geri, children: Heidi, and husband Brett, Gracely and Greg, and wife Gretchen, Schultz, as well as their 8 grandchildren. A private burial will take place at Ryssby Cemetary. A memorial service will take place at Ryssby Church on June 15th at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Samaritan's Purse.
