Carol Ellen Shreiner, 76, of Clinton went home to be with the Lord, November 16, 2025. She was born December 23, 1948 in Akron, Ohio to the late Harry and Sue (nee Greer) Rosenberger.
Carol was a long-time housekeeping supervisor at Pebble Creek Nursing Home and also worked at Sumner Assisted living for a time.
Carol loved baking (especially her Ohio famous Cinnamon Rolls)! She loved holidays and all the decorations involved but her pride was her enormous Christmas village. She spent hours to days putting it up every year and was so proud to show it off to anyone who stopped by.
Carol was a friend to all and always tried to help those she thought were in need. She loved her family and was very proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carol loved her family and animals, but no animal more than her beloved Yorkie Leia (Tom and I (Sherry) figured out that Leia probably had more sweaters and bling than both of us put together.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Thomas Greer and son, Robert DeBarr. She is survived by her husband of thirty-one years, Thomas; son, William DeBarr; daughter, Sherry (Garry) Herron and bonus sons, Scott (Melissa) Shreiner, Alex (Rachel) Shreiner along with grandchildren, Jonathan (Kimberly) DeBarr, Julia (Spencer) Cole, Brynn (Logan) Knoebel, Wesley, Caleb and Wyatt Shreiner; great grandchildren, AJ and Sophia DeBarr.
Carol spent her last few years in a great deal of pain, so her family is very comforted to know she is no longer suffering and is at peace.
Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday November 22, 2025 at the Schlup-Pucak & Wilson Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Ginblesberger officiating. Burial to follow at Marlboro Cemetery.
