Carol Rae Timms, 89, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024. She was born in Ladysmith, Wisconsin on January 21, 1935, to the late Boyd and Freida Meyers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Lee Otto Timms; sons, Bobby Brooks, Randy Brooks, Clay Brooks, Preston Timms, Gene Timms; great-grandson, Kelan Carey.
Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved being GG and spending time with all her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was a passionate card player and would play as long as you wanted to play. She enjoyed traveling and loved to spend time on the lake. Along with her husband Otto, she owned and operated the Paradise Drag Strip for many years. She lived a long, happy life, raising his kids, her kids, and their kids as one big family.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia Brooks, Susan (Jeff) Fletcher, Lee (Renee) Timms; grandchildren, Brian Lang, Kenny Timms, Chase Timms, Ashley Breneman, Allison Breneman, Cameron Fletcher, Cody Timms, Megan Knight, Brady Timms, Brittney Bullock, Chris Fletcher, Stephanie Morgan, Rebecca Pinion, Deedee Timms; great-grandchildren, Amelia Ward, Parker Morrison, Katherine Lang, Brian Lang, Jr., Kyzer Breneman, Kaleece Breneman, Kooper Carey, Kelanna Carey, Penelope Bullock, Griffin Bullock, Leo Bullock, Landon Timms, Harrison Timms, Callie, Sebastian, Hunter, Weston Timms, Tilton Timms, Jameson Timms; sister-in-law and card playing friend, Francis Timms; special friend, Marlin Cochran.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating.
