Carole Daniell Buckner, 86, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. She was born on March 31, 1939, the daughter of the late Leonard Daniell and the late Hester Reynolds Daniell.
Carole dedicated her life to her family, her craft, and her faith, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege to know her.
Carole exemplified a strong love for her family, capturing the hearts of all with her unwavering commitment and warmth. Her pride and joy were her grandbabies and great grandbabies, for whom she lovingly created moments filled with laughter and joy.
Carole was not only a talented seamstress but also a remarkable baker, known for her delicious cakes and cookies. Her baking talents shone brightly when she used them to fund a mission trip, showcasing her deep commitment to charitable work and her desire to support those in need. She believed in the power of community, often preparing meals and providing comfort to countless individuals throughout her life.
As a devoted Sunday School teacher for nearly 50 years, Carole influenced many young lives, imparting lessons of love, kindness, and faith. Alongside her husband, she selflessly served her church family, embodying the heart of a servant throughout her life. Her impact on her church and her community will be remembered fondly by those she touched.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her great-great grandson Kameron; and sisters Virginia Eidson, Loyless Morris and Sara Duren.
She is survived by her loving husband William Joseph Buckner; daughter, Melony (Michael) DeFord of Douglasville, GA; son, Ashley (Sally) Buckner of Temple, GA; sister, LaVata Buice of Villa Rica, GA; four grandchildren, Crystal (Jim) Englett, Lindsey (James) Tanner, Jade (Megan) Newell, and Jennifer DeFord; eight great grandchildren, Bianca, Anthony, Chelsea, Joshua, Caleb, Simon, Alice, and Pagan; and four great-great grandchildren Luc, Tobias, Kamerlee and Kaylan.
The family will receive family and friends at the Memorial services on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Douglasville Church of Christ, Douglasville, GA.
In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated.
Carole is survived by her loving family, who will continue to honor her legacy of service, love, and devotion. Her gentle spirit and unwavering faith have left an imprint on their hearts and the lives of many far beyond her years. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love that she so freely shared and the countless ways she enriched the lives of others.
