Carole Feeney of Westfield, NJ, passed away on August 21, 2025, at the age of 83.
Carole was born in Montclair to Carl and Helen Vogel. She was raised in East Orange and she graduated from Clifford Scott High School.
Caring for others was central to who Carole was as a person. After graduating from Christ Hospital Nursing School in Jersey City she worked as a registered nurse for many years, most recently working at Children's Specialized Hospital in Mountainside.
She enjoyed visiting with lifelong friends, traveling, and always hunting for the best discounts she could find. She will be remembered for being a loving mother to her four children and an adoring Nana to her nine grandchildren. She was a parishioner at Holy Trinity RC Church in Westfield.
Above all else, Carole's family was most important to her. She met the love of her life, her husband, John at the Jersey shore in 1969. Together they raised their four children in Westfield, New Jersey. Her greatest joy was being a Nana to her nine grandchildren.
Carole was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Helen Vogel and her daughter, Kelly Ann Feeney, who passed away in 2012. She is survived by her loving husband, John; her sons, John C. Feeney (Marina), Shawn Feeney (Charlee), and David Feeney (Abigail); and her grandchildren, (Conor, Emmet, Sara, Quin, Kieran, Morgan, Patrick, Paige, Duncan).
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28th from 3-7pm at Dooley Colonial Home, 556 Westfield Ave., Westfield; a funeral Mass will be held the next day, Friday, August 29th at 10am at Holy Trinity RC Church in Westfield. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. A livestream of Carole's funeral Mass will be available at the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLVsicwQHiM.
