**In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Mother, Carole Jean Sekerak**

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, who departed this world on July 1,2024 at the age of 78. She was a guiding light, a beacon of strength, and an embodiment of unconditional love.

Mom was both a mother and father to us four girls. Her unwavering dedication and tireless efforts shaped us into the women we are today. She faced life's challenges with courage and grace, always putting our needs above her own. Her nurturing spirit and boundless wisdom were the pillars of our family.

Born on September 15,1945 in Effingham, Illinois. Her talents were many, but it was her warmth and compassion that touched the lives of everyone she met. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and loved, and her home was always a place of comfort and refuge.

Carole worked as an LPN and then as an RN, putting herself through school while raising her children.

Mom's legacy lives on through us, her daughters: Lori Prouse (Ben), Angie Sekerak (Tony), Penny Sekerak-Zale (Paul), Holly Horned (Shane) and Laura Ingram (Joe). She taught us the values of kindness, resilience, and the importance of family. Her love extended beyond us to her cherished nieces and nephews, who also felt the depth of her care and guidance.

She was a proud grandmother to Kyle, Lyndon, Morgan (Kyle), Cody (Katie), Trevor (Holly), Micah (Jared), Morgan (Clayton), Jobe (Abbi), Cassie (Anthony), and Jarred, whose lives were enriched by her love and wisdom. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her many great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Mary Ann Lucero. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband Jerry, and grandson Kayl and stepdaughter Theresa Vibbert Davis.

As we say goodbye to our beloved mother, we remember her not with sadness but with gratitude for all the beautiful moments we shared. She will forever be in our hearts, a shining example of love and devotion.

A celebration of her life will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Friday, July 5, 2024 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Troy Warner officiating, where we will gather to honor her memory and the incredible impact she had on our lives. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the funeral home.

Rest in peace, Mom. Your love and legacy will live on through us.
