Carole G. Whitmore

Carole G. Whitmore, 71, of Sciota, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Sunday March 22, 2026. She was the widow of Henry "Butch" Whitmore who died in 2023. Born in Marion, IL, she was the daughter of Tibor and Lorlei (Bruce) Bujdoso. Carole resided in the Sciota area for the past 35 years and prior to that she resided in Parsippany, NJ.

Carole was employed as a project coordinator at Sanofi Pasteur Pharmaceutical Company in Swiftwater, PA for 17 years and later she worked as a Photo Tech for the PA Driver's License Department for several years. Carole was an Army veteran and she attended St. Luke's Catholic Church in Stroudsburg, PA.

Carole is survived by her four children: Jennifer Johanning husband Stan of Baldwin, KS, Brian Whitmore and Brandon M. Whitmore both of Sciota, PA; Rebecca (Becky) Dobrinsky husband Gary of Effort, PA, grandchildren: Jakob, Luke, Gary and Liviana and two sisters: Susan Humphrey and Sally Reese. She was preceded in death by a brother William Bujdoso.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 11:00am at St. Luke's Catholic Church 818 Main St. Stroudsburg, PA with Fr. Michael Quinnan as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Stroudsburg Cemetery. There will be a viewing on Thursday March 26, 2026, from 6-8:00pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
