Caroleen Marie (Makin) Sundstrom, age 81, was born to Raymond Laverne and Nina Marie (nee Trout), joined her family in heaven on August 18, 2025.
Carol (Mom and Grandma as she was affectionately known) was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on Earth was one marked by love compassion and her faith in god. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her.
We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Carol, Mom, Grandma was the Matriarch of what became 4 generations, which was fueled by Coca Cola. She liked doing word searches, putting together puzzles, and mostly spending time with family, which always made her day! She loved to travel to Tennessee with anyone and everyone, it always made her smile.
MOM - beloved mother to her children, Joseph Kairn II (Gwen), Late Cynthia Nielsen, Donya (Ron) Stewart, Tammy Thornberry, and Annette (Edward Beson) Dean.
SISTER - to Twin Sister Cathleen Makin, brothers Ray (Lana) Makin and John (late Sarah) Dean.
GRANDMA - TO 21+ Grandchildren, 44+ Great Grandchildren, and 6+ Great Great Grandchildren.
Although her physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and up lift us. May we carry forth her legacy of LOVE and COMPASSION in all that we do.
Her children will receive friends and family from 11am-12pm Friday, August 22, 2025, at Graceland Memorial Gardens, 5989 Deerfield Road, Milford, Ohio 45150
