Carolina Gallegos
June 26, 1955 – October 3, 2025
Carolina Gallegos passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025 at the age of 70. She was born in Espanola to Roberto and Amada Gallegos.
She was preceded in death by her parents Roberto and Amada Gallegos, Brothers Thomas and Leonard Gallegos, Nephew Thomas Gallegos, Niece Monica Martinez and several other relatives.
She is survived by her Son Francisco (Jessica) Gallegos, Niece who she raised like a daughter Amanda (Raul) Munoz, Granddaughters Zendaya, Melanie and Sophia. Siblings Sandra (Felipe) Salazar, Germana (Gilbert) Gallegos, Angela (Albert) Roark, Elmer (Frances) Gallegos, Niece Trinni Gallegos, Nephews Benjie (Lori) Martinez, Antonio (Jessica) Martinez, Roman Martinez and many other relatives.
Carolina worked in the Espanola Public schools and retired after 44 years. She loved spending time with her granddaughters, going for wood, picking pinon, working around her house, she enjoyed time with her family and friends and going for drives no matter the destination.
The family would like to thank Roadrunner Hospice and the staff at UNMH.
She will be greatly missed!
A Rosary will be recited on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 10:30 am at the San Jose Catholic Church in Hernandez, NM, with Mass to follow at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at the Chili Cemetery.
The family of Carolina Gallegos has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home of the Española Valley 505-747-7477.
