Carolina Torres

Carolina Marie Torres, 48, passed away unexpectedly on December 7, 2024, due to complications from diabetes. Carolina was born on October 20, 1976, to Cesar Torres and Marie Carolyn Schumacher, both of whom preceded her in death.

Carolina was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend who brought light and warmth to everyone who knew her. She is survived by her beloved son, Anthony Isiah Torres Delgado, and his girlfriend, Dareen Alami, who were her greatest sources of pride and joy.

Carolina cherished her siblings, Lorilee Helen Butler, Robert Edward Maitner, Christian Albert Maitner, Jeannette Ann Maitner, Robin Lynn Alexander, and Marissa Jeanne Hoolihan, who will always remember her as a loving sister and a source of strength. She adored her nephews, Jason Rogers, Christian Butler, Eric Butler, and Nigel Alexander, and her nieces, Amy Medina and Emily Hernandez.

Her pets—Gizmo, Simba, Maya, and Dexter—were her constant companions and a great comfort to her. Carolina had a love for animals, and her home was always a welcoming space for her furry family.

Carolina was surrounded by a large circle of friends, many of whom she considered family. Her best friend, Monica Eban, shared countless cherished memories with her over the years, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Carolina’s life was a testament to her resilience, compassion, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched.

A celebration of Carolina’s life will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home in Winter Garden where family and friends can gather to honor her memory. Visitation hours are from 11 am to 1:00 pm the same day.
