Caroline was the kind of person whose presence made everything feel a little warmer, a little more thoughtful, and a whole lot more generous. Whether she was organizing a fundraiser, mentoring a young volunteer, or quietly making sure a neighbor had what they needed, she gave to the community not for recognition, but because it was in her nature to care.
She welcomed friends into her home like it was a refuge-always with good food, open-hearted conversation, and that unmistakable Caroline touch of making everything seem so effortless. She was a Renaissance woman in the truest sense-curious, creative, and constantly learning. Whether it was art, politics, gardening, or literature, Caroline approached the world with an insatiable curiosity and a deep desire to connect.
In these past four years, as Caroline faced illness with grace and quiet strength, her daughter Tracy was a steady, loving presence by her side. Tracy made sure her mother had everything she needed-comfort, dignity, laughter, and the fierce love of family. The bond they shared was evident to all who witnessed it, a beautiful testament to the deep well of care Caroline had nurtured in others her whole life.
Caroline leaves behind a legacy of service, generosity, and deep intellectual and emotional curiosity. But perhaps most of all, she leaves behind a circle of friends and family forever shaped by her warmth, wisdom, and the way she made life richer simply by being part of it. - Randy McNeal
