It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carolyn Elizabeth (Beddingfield) Henson, a cherished wife and mother, esteemed community member, and beloved friend. Carolyn was born on February 15, 1949, in Houston, Texas, to Allen and Elizabeth (Wilson) Beddingfield, where she grew up surrounded by love and the guidance of her parents. After ten dedicated years working in the banking industry, Carolyn transitioned to working with her husband, Tom, in their real estate endeavors. Their marriage, which began on August 15, 1982, was marked by mutual respect, deep affection, and unwavering partnership.
An avid traveler, Carolyn found immense joy exploring various destinations with her family, and later in life, with close friends. Her talents extended beyond the realm of exploration, as she was known for her exceptional baking skills and passion for cooking, bringing people together through the warmth of her meals. Carolyn's spiritual life was a cornerstone of her being, evident in her active involvement in the First Baptist Church of Buffalo, Texas, where her faith guided her actions and interactions with others.
In addition to her many interests, Carolyn was known for her competitive spirit, especially when engaging in gaming activities with those she held dear. Her enthusiasm and skill made her a formidable opponent, and the camaraderie shared during these moments will forever be treasured by all who had the privilege of participating.
Carolyn E Henson's legacy of kindness, dedication, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Tom Henson; children, Coy Davis of Galveston Island, Heather Rhodes of Katy, Cathrine Henson of Colorado and Christine Bedre of Elkhart; step-sons, Rodney Henson of Colorado and Stephen Henson of Angleton; grandchildren, Logan Henson, Grace Haude, Kennedy Davis, Cambree Tyra, Miranda Rhodes, Rylan Henson, Colten Rhodes, Buck Bedre, Brighton Bedre and Gabriela Henson; great-grandchildren, Raelyn and Hayden Henson; as well as a host of extended family members, friends, and community members who were blessed by her presence. The memory of Carolyn will forever remain in our hearts, serving as a beacon of love and light.
Carolyn was preceded in death by both of her parents and sisters, Aileen and Darlene.
A funeral service to honor Carolyn's life will be held 10 A.M., Friday, July 26, 2024 at Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas. Rev.
