Carolyn Sue Underwood Brooks, 78, widow of Glenn Scott Brooks, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Hospital. She was born in Indiana on November 9, 1945, to the late James Underwood and Roberta Delaney Underwood. She is survived by three children, Edward Lee (Sonia) Goforth, Michael Kane Brooks, Traci (Michael Evarts) Brooks, a brother, Ronald Edward (Della) Underwood, 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sons, William Todd Fackson and Sammy Dale Goforth, two daughters, Vicki Lynn Neal and Valeri Brooks, and a brother, Thomas Underwood. Services will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Bales officiating. The burial will follow in Wilmore Cemetery. The visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 4-8:00 PM. Bearers will be Chase Goforth, Stephen Lathrem, Nathan Worthington, Elliot Worthington, Doc Lathrem, Michael Kane Brooks, Michael Evarts, and Andy Powell.
