Roy Lee Estes, Jr. 59, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Bluegrass Hospice Care at UK Healthcare in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born on December 22, 1965, in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Roy Lee Estes and Carnelia Lunsford Estes. Roy Lee was a self-employed automobile mechanic. Survivors include a daughter, Kim (Jakey Stevenson) Estes, a son, James Estes, grandchildren, Harlan Estes, Holden Estes, Forrest Stevenson and Adlei Stevenson. Additional survivors include siblings, Rickey (Rosie) Estes, Ernest Estes, Jimmy (Melissa) Estes, Michael Eugene (Roberta) Estes, Bobby (Pamela) Estes, Julie Lynn (Mike) Moungey, and Anthony Wayne Estes. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Janet Marie Halcomb. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Wilmore Cemetery with Pastor John Sanders officiating. Burial will take place at Wilmore Cemetery, with his brothers acting as bearers. The visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Betts & West Funeral Home.
