Ima Jean Burge Dunaway, 76, loving wife of Fred Wayne Dunaway, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at her home in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky, on October 27, 1948, to the late Marshall Lee Burge Sr. and Lucy Geneva Gill Burge. Ima Jean was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her home and family, as well as working as a Home Interior saleswoman. Survivors include a son, Fred Dunaway Jr., and his wife, Christina; two daughters, Carmen Lynn Dunaway Crumley and her husband, Dale, and Kimberly Ann Dunaway McEarchern and her husband, James; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include four sisters, Diana LaDow and her husband, Gary, Glenna Jarrett and her husband, Bobby, Judy Rooney and her husband, David, and Cindy Vaughn and her husband, Brian. Services will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Doug Dunaway officiating. The burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Bearers will be James McEarchern, Dale Crumley, Joseph Linton, Andrew Yancey, Jason Wade and Jon Ronan. The visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 5-9:00 PM, at Betts & West Funeral Home.
