Charles Peel Obituary
Charles E. Peel, 73, husband of Bonnie Jean Drury Peel, died on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at his home on Weslyn Way in Nicholasville, Kentucky. He was born on May 25, 1952, in the Pollard area of Jessamine County, Kentucky to the late Hughie L. Peel and Margaret Miller Peel. In addition to his loving wife, Bonnie, he is survived by a son, Allan Lunsford, and his wife, Donna, a daughter, Rebecca Hudson, and her husband, Richard, four grandchildren, Makenzie Lunsford Wells and her husband, JT, Madison Lunsford, Jonathan Hudson and his wife, Reagan, and Jackson Hudson. Additional survivors include a sister, Debbie (Roy) Butcher, brothers, Billy (Bonnie) Peel, and Ronnie Peel. He was preceded in death by siblings Beatty, Carl, Henry Ray, Joyce, and Patricia. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor David Kibler officiating. The burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery with David Peel, Darrell Peel, Jerome Peel, Jonathan Hudson, Jackson Hudson, and William “June Bug” Rhoades serving as bearers. Honorary bearers will be Larry Sanders, Jackie Waldrop, Ricky Aldridge, Peggy Turpin, Patrick Butcher, and Greg Peel. The visitation will be held on Thursday evening, October 16, 2025, from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM, at the funeral home.
