Carolyn Lehmann Buscha

Carolyn (Domann) Lehmann Buscha was born in Loebau, Texas on January 12, 1942, the eldest daughter of Herbert and Dora (Richter) Domann. She was baptized in Loebau in 1942, and Confirmed on March 25, 1956, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Houston, Texas. She married Jimmie Lehmann on July 23, 1960, at Holy Cross, Warda, Texas. Their marriage was blessed with three daughters: Rhonda, Brenda, and Sandra. After Jimmie's passing, she married Bobby Buscha, Sr. on July 15, 2017, at Holy Cross.
Carolyn started her career as a Kindergarten teacher at St. Paul Lutheran School in Houston. Later she worked as an Attendance Clerk and Special Education Aide for Katy ISD until her retirement. After relocating to Warda, she served as a clerk at the Warda Post Office. Carolyn enjoyed gardening, reading, attending country music nights in La Grange, Giddings, and Brenham, attending basketball games to support Faith Lutheran High School, attending community league baseball games, and spending time with her family. Carolyn enjoyed baking coconut pies for various church and family functions, and her grand and great-grandchildren all insisted that no one could make better homemade noodles than Grandma. She was a faithful member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church where she served as a Financial Steward as well as serving on the board of the Pietsch Endowment Fund.
Carolyn passed away suddenly the evening of Sunday, November 10, 2024, at St. David's North Austin Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Lehmann; her parents; granddaughter Rachel Marie Fischer; brothers-in-law Wally Lehmann, Allan Lehmann, Paul Hartfield, Richard Rucker, David Pena, and Don Ude; stepdaughter, Barbara Buscha and stepson-in-law, Steven Reedy.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Bobby Buscha, Sr.; three daughters: Rhonda Iselt and husband, Dennis, of Katy; Brenda Fischer and husband, Daniel, of La Grange; and Sandra Lange and husband, Kevin, of Cypress; six grandchildren: Jason Hecht and husband, Randy, of Senoia, Georgia; Amanda Olguin and husband, Jeremy, of College Station; Brian Iselt and wife, Cecily, of Rocksprings; Jordon Fischer of La Grange; and Alexa Lange and Raina Lange of Warda. Four great-grandchildren: Luke and Wyatt Olguin and Cooper and Carter Iselt. Three sisters: Mary Ann Rucker of Warda; Doris Ude of Cypress; and Shirley Wright and husband, Doug, of Baytown. Sisters-in-law Cydell Hartfield of Giddings, Carol Lehmann of Warda and Sandra Lehmann of Warda; brother-in-law Harry Lehmann and wife, Patricia, of Warda; stepsons Robert Glenn Buscha of Bastrop and Bobby Buscha, Jr. and fiancé, India, of Junction; stepdaughter, Brigitte Buscha of Smithville; step grandson Trey Buscha and wife Brittney of Victoria; step granddaughter Ashton Buscha and fiancé, Dylan, of Holly Springs, Mississippi; and great step grandsons Rhett Buscha and Preston Link, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations of La Grange. The family will be present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. to receive friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Warda at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church Cemetery.
