Beloved wife, mother, mawmaw, aunt and friend was welcomed home into Jesus’ loving arms on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the age of 84. Carolyn was born on February 10, 1941, in Ohio. She is a graduate of Sulphur High School and McNeese State of University. She devoted her life to each of her three daughters- whether it be 4-H events, basketball, track, livestock shows, etc. It was all about her children.

She is preceded in death by her parents, KJ & Doris Davis; brother, Larry Davis; sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Jonathan Areno; and two infant granddaughters, Sean and Grace.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Floyd G. Visitation will be from 5pm to 8pm on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Johnson and Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Iowa. Visitation will continue Monday, October 6th at 8am until time of service at 11am at Iowa First United Methodist Church. Dr. Rev. Doug Ezell and Dr. Rev. David DeWitt will preside. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of The Guardian, as well as Harbor Hospice, for the special care given to her during these last few months.
