CAROLYN A. GRAY

WEST COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA –

Carolyn Marjorie Andrews Gray, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 5, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Christ's Sanctified Holy Church Campground in Perry, Georgia. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12 Noon, and the Funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Campground Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Christ's Sanctified Holy Church Cemetery Fund, P. O. Box 1465, Perry, Georgia 31069.

Carolyn was born in Columbia, South Carolina, to the late James Perman and Marjorie Price Andrews on May 21, 1935. She was a faithful member of Christ's Sanctified Holy Church for her entire life. She enjoyed spending most of her childhood in Norfolk, Virginia, where she sought the Lord at the age of thirteen. After her family returned to South Carolina, she graduated from Brookland-Cayce High School. A few months later, on December 4, 1953, she married William Gray, her loving husband of 67 years. Carolyn raised four children before returning to work outside the home. She retired from the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism. She loved to read and was a lifelong student of The Bible.

Carolyn was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Shirley Barker; and her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Billy Gray.

Left to cherish the memories they made with Carolyn are her children, Bill Gray of Cayce, SC, Wayne Gray (Deanne) of Gaston, SC, Barry Gray (Jennifer) of Maggie Valley, NC, and Beth Hopkins (Michael) of Glen Allen, VA; her grandchildren, Zane Gray (Anna), Ethan Hopkins, and Amelia Hopkins; a great-grandchild, Roman Gray; a sister, Jackie Chauvin of West Columbia, SC; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
