Carolyn M. Magaldi

Loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother
Carolyn M. (Sebastian) Magaldi, age 79, passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Complete Care at Middlebury. She was the loving wife of the late Michael J. Magaldi.
Born in Waterbury, on December 4, 1944, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Jane (Doherty) Sebastian. She was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School, Class of 1962 and attended Post College. A longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Loreto Church, Carolyn was a member of the ladies guild. She was known for her jams and jellies, especially her red pepper jelly, which sold out quickly at the church's Christmas Bazaar. More recently, Carolyn was a member of the Waterbury Garden Club, helping to beautify Waterbury.
Carolyn worked as a secretary for the City of Waterbury, Department of Education for over 20 years. She went on to work for the law office of Attorney Ouellete and for Waterbury's corporate council.
She was an avid reader and loved to take on a good puzzle. She enjoyed knitting and cross-stitch and trips to the casino. Most importantly, Carolyn kept the family together, cooking, baking, and hosting parties and holidays.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter Gina Honeysett and her husband Thomas of Clarksville, TN; her beloved granddaughter Nicole Honeysett of Rochester, NY; her brother Joseph Sebastian and his wife Susan of Wolcott; and her sisters Patricia Rinaldi and her husband Richard of Waterbury and Laura Vail and her husband William of Conway, South Carolina. She also leaves her brother-in-law Ronald Magaldi of Ellington, and her god-daughters Barbara "Bobbi" Petersen of FL and Sandra Imbimbo of Waterbury as well as several nieces and nephews.
Carolyn's funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 12 Ardsley Rd., Waterbury. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the church. There are no calling hours.
