Carolyn Graham Morrow, 81, of Owensboro, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024, while at Brickyard Healthcare - Brentwood Care Center in Evansville, IN. She was born January 18, 1943, in Owensboro, KY, to the late Miller Graham and Hallie O’Bryan Graham. Carolyn graduated from Catherine Spalding College in Louisville, KY, and was a long-time employee of the Opportunity Center as Financial Controller.
She was an active member and enjoyed volunteering at Third Baptist Church where she answered phones and participated in Bible study groups, as well as youth and senior citizen events until her illness prevented her from doing what she loved. She also volunteered at the Opportunity Center’s Bingo games, Civitan Club, and ARC of Owensboro. Carolyn’s other hobbies and loves were animals, especially her pet cats, and spending time with her family.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Medley Wieder; and two brothers, Capt. John Graham and David Graham.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 55 years, John Michael Morrow; sisters, Janet (Tom) Ebelhar, Mary Graham, Martha (Mike Cain) Graham, and Sarah James; and several nieces and nephews, John (Peggy) Graham, Anne (Earl) Bryer, Jeb (Cathie) Medley, Anne (Eric) Davis, Jonathan (Amanda) Graham, Brian (Kristy) Ebelhar, Sarah (Dave) Melanson, Heather (Larry) Kopp, Josh (Sarah) Beeler, and Katie (Ben) Marks; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Carolyn’s family would like to give a special thank you to the staff and residents of Brickyard Health Care – Brentwood Care Center in Evansville, IN and Gentiva Hospice of Evansville.
The memorial service for Carolyn Morrow will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Opportunity Center of Owensboro, 3560 New Hartford Road Owensboro, KY 42303.
