Carolyn Stacy Nash Phillips

CHARLOTTE – Mrs. Carolyn Stacy Nash Phillips, 71, of Charlotte, North Carolina, died Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Atrium Health Pineville Hospital of pulmonary fibrosis.
Carolyn was born November 28, 1953, in Charlotte to the late Rosa Stacy and Henry Grady Nash, Jr. She attended Charlotte Country Day School, the University of North Carolina, and graduated from UNC Charlotte. She recently celebrated her 50th anniversary with Stephen O'Berry Phillips, who survives her.
Carolyn was deeply thoughtful and devoted to showing hospitality and care to others. She retired from careers in banking and as an estate paralegal, where she brought security and hope to people at their most vulnerable time. Carolyn was a member of Providence United Methodist Church for almost her entire life and a mainstay of the United Methodist Women and the Crosstalkers Sunday School class.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Stephen; her son Matthew, daughter-in-law Heather, and grandchildren Grady and Elizabeth Phillips of Winston-Salem; and her son Brent, daughter-in-law Brandy, and grandchildren Abraham, Charles, and Matilda Phillips of Glendale, California.
A memorial service to honor Carolyn's life will be held 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Providence United Methodist Church. A reception will follow the service at the church. The service will be livestreamed by the church at: https://boxcast.tv/view/carolyn-phillips-memorial-service-vwc7vlocjcignw2jiat9 for those unable to attend in person.
