Carolyn Stein Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Huber-Moore Funeral Home - Bordentown on Oct. 1, 2025.
Carol Stein, 72, of Chesterfield, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August
17, 2023, at Serenity Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, in
Hamilton, NJ.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Michael D. Stein, her two
daughters, Jenni Rose Stein and Laura Beth Blank, and three delightful
grandchildren, Mateo, Lenny, and Nico Blank.
Carol will be deeply missed. Everyone who knew her, loved her. She was a
wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend. She was kind,
loving, talented, and generous beyond measure. She loved to sew, and she made
breathtaking quilts and colorful children's books that are true treasures. She was a
Master Gardener, an animal lover, and a talented musician, with an angelic voice
and a love of the guitar and harp. She was the best cook you'd ever meet. Most of
all, she loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. She had
the most creative imagination, and was able to see the magic in every moment.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Doctors Lester and Flora Rauer, and
her brother Kenny.
Carol was born in Philadelphia, PA, where she attended Germantown Friends School,
and the University of Pennsylvania where she earned her bachelor's degree.
With her husband Mike, she lived in Arizona, California, and finally New Jersey,
where they resided together for 37 years. She worked as a Court Reporter in
Phoenix, and as a bookkeeper for the family business, Computer House.
She loved to volunteer, both with her faith community - Eckankar, and
also as a hospice aide. She always thought of others before herself, and her
generous spirit was an inspiration to all who knew her.
During her last months on earth, Carol was surrounded by friends and family, and
it meant so much to her. It was a great blessing that when her time came, she was
ready, and had a sense of peace and closure. Though she is no longer with us in
the physical world, in Spirit she will always be with us, and her legacy will live on
through her children, grandchildren, and all the lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be announced at a later date.
