Carolyn A. Taylor, 89, of Lafayette passed away at Westminster Village on Monday, December 8, 2025. Born in West Lebanon, IN April 17, 1936 she was the daughter of the late Hiram and Louise (Davis) Ricketts. Carolyn was a 1954 graduate of West Lebanon High School. She married Charles L. Taylor at the West Lebanon Church on February 26, 1955 and he preceded her in death January 30th of 2014. Carolyn was a longtime member of Brady Lane Church and retired as a secretary at the local union 692 OPCMIA.
Surviving are three children, Dennis L. (Cindy) Taylor of French Lick, IN; Darrel L. Taylor of Columbia City, IN and Tina L. (Frank) Auxier of Lafayette, IN: grandchildren, Nicholas (Heather) Auxier, Benjamin (Melissa) Auxier, Justin (Misty) Auxier, Mindy Taylor, Lindsey Russell, Valerie (Tommy) Mosley, Michelle Fletcher, Amanda (Adam) Hill, and Rebecca Taylor as well as 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter Jessica Taylor (infant), sister & brother-in-law Janet & Robert Stewart. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. If friends desire, memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity 3815 Fortune Drive, Lafayette, IN 47905.
