Naomi Annette Hocker, 75, of Lafayette passed away on Saturday, December 6th, 2025 at Franciscan hospital. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on January 22, 1950 to the late Walter H. Hocker Jr. and Nina A. (Switzer) Hocker . She grew up in Speedway, Indiana, and graduated from Speedway High School in 1967. She attended Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, and Purdue University in Lafayette, Indiana where she obtained her bachelors in Philosophy. She remained in Lafayette the rest of her life. She was a bookkeeper at several companies, most notably Loeb’s Department Store. Naomi was also a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Church as well as attending adoration at St. Elizabeth Chapel. She is survived by her brother Walter Hocker III, her nieces Carol Bouabid, Anna Evans, Robyn Consolo and her nephew John Hocker.
She is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Nina Hocker, and her brother Roger Hocker.
The visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16 from 9:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM held at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Fa. Weisenberger officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. If friends desire, memorials may be made to: Pro-Life Action League 314 N. Lake St. Suite 4 Aurora, IL 60506.
