Memorial Services will be he held 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Todd Nelsen will officiate. Burial will follow at Kingston Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery in Kingston. Memorials are preferred to the animal shelter of the donor's choice.
Carrie Lynn Garthe was born August 12, 1977, in St. Cloud to Bernard "Bud" and Debra (Pitzl) Garthe. She was baptized and confirmed at the Kingston Apostolic Lutheran Church. Carrie grew up in Annandale, graduating from Annandale High School with the Class of 1996; she continued her education at Aveda Institute to be a hair stylist. Over the years, Carrie has worked as a veterinarian assistant at Annandale Vet Clinic, as a waitress at Home Style and Pizza Plus, and as a hair stylist. Carrie loved animals, listening to music, cooking for friends, and being with people. Her greatest pride and joy in this life was her daughter.
Carrie is survived by her daughter, Danielle Garthe of Annandale; mother, Debbie Garthe of Annandale; brothers, John Garthe of Annandale and Mike Garthe (Tracy Stueven) of Annandale; nephew, Memphis Garthe; and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her dad, Bud Garthe; and grandparents, Russ and Vi Huro, Elaine and Wally Weis, Robert Pitzl, Sr., and Bernard Garthe, Sr.
