Mrs. Carrie Lee Guinn was born on May 1, 1952, to the late Alma and Lonnie Williams. On the evening of Saturday, June 28, 2025, she answered the Master's call and left this life for eternal life. Preceding Carrie in death is her parents, Alma and Lonnie Williams, her maternal grandparents Mr. And Mrs. Mercer and paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Williams, all from Rocky Mountain, North Carolina.
Carrie was educated in the public systems of North Carolina and Hampton, Virginia. She was a graduate of Bethel High School class of 1971. She continued her education at the Virginia School of Hair Design and successfully earned her license as a beautician. In addition, she earned her Associate Degree in Human Resources. Being a people person, Carrie held a diversity of jobs including hair design, daycare services, and a Nurse's Aide, where she would share the goodness of the Lord.
Carrie Lee met her soul mate and husband of over 50 years, Fate Guinn III (Airbourne Ranger, US Army, ret.). To this union, three children were born: Eric Guinn, Pamela White, and Faye Billups. She was active in the church, including Little Zion Baptist Church Eternal Life, and Liberty Baptist Church, both in Hampton, Virginia. During Fate's 20 year military career, they were stationed at various military posts, including Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Fort Eustis and Fort Monroe, both in Virginia. Being a supportive military wife, Carrie Lee spent many years moving along with her husband to South and North Carolina, and Virginia. As a result, she maintained the household and raised their children often in his absence.
Celebrating the legacy of Carrie Lee Guinn include her faithful and devoted husband, Fate Guinn III, her son, Eric (Pamela) Guinn, daughters Pamela (Steve) White, and Faye (Andre) Billups. Her brothers, Carlton (LaVern ) Williams, Fred (Sharon) Williams, and Jermaine Wlliams (Clarisa). Her sisters Tequila Williams and Lola Lewis, brother in law, Micheal (Lavonnia) Guinn, sisters in laws Patricia (William) Benton, and Barbara Guinn. Her beloved grandchildren Kiara, Mitchel (Jonelle), Takhari, Nakya, Jaylynn, Christian, Skyler, Kendall, and her most treasured great grands Liam, Levi, Violet, Arya, Azari, and Zy'Aire, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends..
It is the desire of the Guinn family that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
