Carrie Parham Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by J. J. Duffy Funeral Home on Oct. 28, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Carrie Letrice Parham of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, was born on February 28, 1973, in Boston, Massachusetts. She passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Carrie was the eldest of six children and wholeheartedly embraced her role as the "best big sister." That same love and devotion extended to her cousins and friends-many of whom will tell you she was someone you could always depend on for guidance, support, or simply a listening ear. Even when she had little, she gave much. Her generous heart and compassionate spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A proud graduate of Snowden High School in Boston, Carrie was a standout basketball player from 1987 to 1991. She later attended Norfolk State University from 1991 to 1992 before beginning a long and dedicated career in healthcare, where she served for over 30 years in
Finance and Customer Service.

Family was the center of Carrie's world. She never missed a family gathering or a good game of spades. She is survived by her beloved mother, Shirley Parham of Woonsocket, RI; father, Sidney Parham (Lisa Frazier) of Stoughton, MA; and biological father, David Harris (Elnora)
of Boston, MA. She leaves behind her sisters Pamla Speranza (Arthur) of Sandwich, MA, Paula Parham of Watertown, MA, Carla Parham of Providence, RI, Franessa Green (Jonathan) of Dedham, MA, Caroline Fludd (Kyle) of Odenton, MD, as well as her "little/big" brother,
Sidney Parham II of Woonsocket, RI, and brother Derrick Frazier of Cambridge, MA. She also leaves to cherish her memory the matriarch of her family, her beloved aunt Louvenia Noble of Chicago, IL, her aunts Betty Tucker and Emma Parham, her uncle Charles Patterson,
along with a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever hold her close in their hearts. And she will surely be missed amongst her ride or die crew, her uncle Reginald (Larry) Patterson and her big cousin/brother Dwayne Patterson.

Carrie's love extended deeply to her nieces and nephews-Adrianna Parham Rivera, Kharissa Langevin, SaDaryl Parham, Michael Lee, Antonio Parham, and Stanley Green-whom she adored as if they were her own. She also cherished her great-nieces Marianna Cheek and
Jaylaciana Parham, and her great-nephews SaDaryl "DJ" Parham, Mateo Cheek, Noah Langevin, Uriah Pritchard, Israel Langevin, and Myles and Malcolm Fludd.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers Carrie Patterson of Boston, MA, Lillie Mae Parham of Newark, NJ, and Lelia Harris of Boston, MA; her grandfathers Frank Patterson of Boston, MA, Otha Parham of Rockwood, TN, and Joseph Harris of Boston, MA; and her
beloved nephew, Keith Butler of Woonsocket, RI. A host of aunts, uncles, and cousins were also waiting at Heaven's gates to welcome her home.

Carrie was named after her grandmother, Carrie Patterson, who bestowed upon her the cherished family name Deana Rosie- a name she carried with pride throughout her life. To her family and friends, she will always be remembered affectionately as Deana.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Carrie's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A life celebration service will be held at 1 PM in the funeral home.

Her love, laughter, and compassion will forever remain in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations sent to One Mission, PO Box 495, Westborough, MA 01581. 508-628-9090
