Carrol W. Dickman, age 81, of Antigo, died on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at The Bay at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on May 7, 1944 in Antigo, a son of George and Georgia (Ellis) Dickman. He married Arlene Adamski on May 2, 1964 in Antigo.
Carrol was a 1962 graduate of Antigo High School. In 1962 he joined the Coast Guard and proudly served 20 years, retiring in 1983. Following his retirement from the service he became the plant manager at Langlade Hospital where he worked for 21 years.
He had a love for baseball having played for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Arelene; a son, Curtis (Pam) Dickman of Wausau; a sister, Julia (Brian) Paradis of Connecticut; a brother, Dennis (Barbara) Dickman of Little Chute; three step-grandchildren, Bobby, Eric and Shawn; special step-grandchildren, Nathan and Isabell; a sister-in-law, Corrine Thomas; and niece, Abby (Dustin) Jonasson and their children Charli and Lou.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Wallace, Gordon and Reinald.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 25 at 11:30 a.m. at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Joel Sember officiating. Burial and military honors will take place at the Queen of Peace Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.
