Carroll Dwight Barrois, a lifelong resident of Buras, Louisiana, passed away on January 9, 2026, at the age of 72 at his home. He was born February 1, 1953, in Port Sulphur, Louisiana. Carroll is survived by his sister, Beryl Barrois Garma, her husband the late Mickey; his brother, Jay J. Barrois, his wife, Nessa; and his nieces and nephews, Berthney, III, Gidget, Jean-Pierre, Chantel, Tiffany, Kristen, Les, Cheryl, Janise, Jenna and the late Dina. He is preceded in death by his parents, Augustine Thibodeaux and Berthney N. Barrois, Sr.; his brothers, Berthney N. Barrois, Jr., and Floyd Edward Barrois (Beverly). He was a lifelong boat captain, starting in his family’s business and later carrying on the family tradition. He was a graduate of Delta Heritage Academy. Carroll was an avid Saints Fan and loved watching the team in his jersey, hat and shoes. Over the years, he enjoyed many ski and hunting trips with friends and family. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Friday, January16, 2026, beginning at 10:30AM until 12 Noon. Graveside Services will take place on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 1PM at Nairn Cemetery, Nairn, Louisiana.
