Carroll Eugene Lloyd

Carroll Eugene Lloyd, 89, son of the late Preston & Annie Jackson Lloyd, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026.
The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, January 15th at 2 PM in Rose Hill Original Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Ayden Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 14th, from 5 PM – 7 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Greenville.
Mr. Lloyd was a Pitt County native and was raised in Farmville. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard; and for more than 37 years he was employed with DuPont as a shift mechanic. Upon his retirement from DuPont, he was employed with Bob Barbour Honda for 20 years as a shuttle driver.
Mr. Lloyd was a member of Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church where he served as an usher, and a member of the Laymen's League.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Mary H. Lloyd; two brothers R. H. Lloyd and Dewey Lloyd; and a sister, Thelma Steele.
Surviving are his wife of six years, Christine F. Lloyd; two daughters, Teresa Lloyd Davenport of Winterville, and Tina L. Rouse and husband, Robbie of Winterville; three sisters, Wilma Shackleford of Farmville, Linda Stallings of New Bern, and Ann Lewis of Shallotte; four grandchildren, Justin C. Rouse and wife, Nikki of Ayden; Tyler Davenport of Kinston, Leslieann Cheshire and husband, Drew of Walstonburg, Taylor Davenport Noble and husband, Dawson of Robersonville; four great-grandchildren, Jackson Rouse, Nash Cheshire, Layla Rouse, and Mary Dawson Noble; step-children, Brenda Jones of Vanceboro, Van Jones and wife, Sandy of Vanceboro, Mike Jones and wife, Diane of Vanceboro; and nine step-grandchildren.
