Tincy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. A lifelong millwright by trade, he took immense pride in hard work and craftsmanship. More than his career, Tincy was defined by his unwavering faith as a born-again Christian, his deep love for his family, and his passion for helping others. Politics was a lifelong passion-he followed it with intensity and conviction, always believing in the power of civic engagement.
He is now walking hand in hand with Jesus Christ and his brother Gerald.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanie Stewart, and their children: Gayan Stewart Berthelot (Danny), Tonya Stewart Fortenberry (Kevin), Tara Stewart Inzinna (Brody), and Garrett Reed Stewart (Jennifer); Grandchildren: Cole Berthelot, Ariel Berthelot Scivicque, Jace Berthelot, Justin Fortenberry, Breya Fortenberry, Coy Fortenberry, Rylie Inzinna, Leah Stewart, Presley Stewart, Molly Stewart, Reid Stewart; Sisters: Ethel "Dude" Stewart Worthy and Annette Duffy Courtney; Great-Grandchildren: Lily Barnes, Olivia Fortenberry, Palmer Berthelot, Brix Scivicque, Knox Scivicque, Wolfgang Fortenberry, and Brooks Berthelot.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Issac "Ike" Stewart and Etta Stewart; and his siblings: Jerry Stewart, Jessie Morris "Sonny" Jones, Cecil Jones, Judy Jones, and Gerald Stewart.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation Friday, June 20, 2025, from 9:00 AM until the celebration of life begins at 11:00 AM at Maurepas Baptist Church, 24323 LA-22, Maurepas, LA 70449. Burial will immediately follow in the Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Justin Fortenberry, Cole Berthelot, Jace Berthelot, Coy Fortenberry, Kade Scivicque, and Kevin Duffy. Josh Duffy will be an honorary pallbearer.
Arrangements have been entrusted to McLin Funeral Home. Online condolences may be shared at www.mclinfuneralhome.com
