Carson Lee Salmon

Carson Lee Salmon, 17, of Goode, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. He was born in Lynchburg on October 2, 2007. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Terrell Salmon and maternal grandfather, Donovan F. Owen.

Carson was a special soul who had a heart of gold. He loved his family most of all and would do anything to help them. Carson enjoyed fishing in the Otter River, hunting with his dad and playing the guitar. He also had a love for 4-wheelers and dirt bikes. It is hard to put into words how special Carson was, he will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his parents, Wiley Leslie Salmon and Tara Owen Salmon; siblings, Ryan L. Salmon (Mary), Chandler K. Gaddy (B.J.), Ashlyn M. Sharp (James) and Haden Owen Salmon (Haleigh Amos); nieces and nephews, Rhett, Luke, Branson, Lawson, Stella, Eleanor, Marlee and Walker; maternal grandmother, Janice Owen Goode (Robert); paternal grandmother, Linda Salmon; special friend, Colton Tibbs and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A funeral service and celebration of Carson’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Tharp Funeral Chapel, Bedford, with the Rev. Dwight Weaver officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Evington, VA.
