Carter Paul Smith 15, of Saint Joseph, MO, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023 in Saint Joseph, MO. He was born February 28, 2008 in St. Joseph, MO, son of Martina and Joshua Smith. He attended Benton High School. Carter enjoyed riding his mini bike, playing basketball, fireworks, and Christmas lights. He is survived by his parents, siblings: Julie (Skylar) Smith-Robison, Kaylynn Cranmer, Paxton McClellan, and Ryker McClellan, his niece, Addalyn Robison, paternal grandparents, Dennis & Barb Smith, of the home, paternal grandparents, Christine & Tom McBrayer, paternal great grandparents, Betty & Gordon Wilson, paternal great grandmother, Betty Smith, paternal great great grandmother, Helen Howard, and paternal step grandfather, Larry Haarlammert. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Terry Hershman. The family will receive friends from 5 - 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home.
