Carter Kim Wagner came into the world smiling on May 18, 2020 in Omaha, NE, meeting his parents Alex and Jacquelynn (Sloth) Wagner and big sister Mia.
Carter lived a full life enjoying tractor and ranger rides around the farm. He loved watching sports and playing catch. He loved being outdoors going on walks, sledding, playing with animals, and swinging in the yard. Carter loved his big sister, and being a good little brother, he was somewhat a "willing" participant while Mia was dressing him up or playing school. A lot of time was spent playing with his barn, trains, cars, and building blocks. Toy Story and Home Alone were his go to movies. As Carter did not want to miss out on anything, sleeping was never his top priority. He thoroughly enjoyed his PT and preschool and worked so hard, never giving up on his tasks.
Despite health challenges beginning at 18 months of age, his smile was always there to greet the hospital staff. Everyone that helped care for him, commented on how he was always smiling, and he was known to flirt with staff that had a certain hair color. He got to travel the country visiting his many specialists. Carter and his family went to Disney World with the Make-A-Wish foundation where he loved his first roller coaster and meeting all his favorite characters.
Carter's smile always lit up the room and let everyone know "You've got a friend in me".
