Casimira Osuna Creekmore, age 92, of Elizabeth City, NC, died at home on Friday, September 12, 2025. Born in Mexico, on March 4, 1933, to the late Damiana Rodriguez and Federico Osuna, she was the widow of David Roderick Creekmore.
Casimira's journey through this world was marked by love, peace, and an unwavering dedication to her family. As a devoted homemaker, she poured her heart into creating a warm and nurturing environment for her loved ones. Her life was a testament to the beauty found in everyday moments-the gentle smile that never faded and the quiet strength that resonated in her every action.
She was a woman who embraced life's simplicity with grace, finding joy in the small things and spreading warmth to everyone around her. Her deep faith guided her, and as a cherished member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, she found solace and community in her spiritual pursuits.
She is survived by her son, Federico Creekmore and his wife, Ho Thi Mai; sister, Josephina Rodriguez Osuna; and granddaughter, Marissa Diane Creekmore. In addition to her parents, and husband of 58 years, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Hermelinda Osuna Torres and Angelita Osuna Sarmiento; and brother, Daniel Osuna Rodriguez.
Casimira's life was a portrait of tranquility and love, with her family always at its center. Her legacy is one of kindness and respect for all living things, and she leaves behind a world that is brighter for having known her gentle spirit. While she may no longer walk among us, her memory will continue to inspire those who had the privilege to share in her journey.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Alex Gonzalez officiating.
