Cassandra Jean Adams, 69, of Camby, Indiana, left this world too soon, on February 25th, 2024. She was born in Indianapolis, IN on October 9th, 1954, to parents Dethell and Lenia Mae Toney.
Cassandra grew up in Indianapolis, IN and graduated from George Washington High School. She worked for Rykoff Sexton and then Salvation Army until retirement. Cassandra was a full-time mother, grandmother, and friend. These roles she loved and took very seriously.
She married her high school sweetheart Charles Adams Sr in the 1970s. They shared 29 years together before his passing.
Cassandra was a strong, loving woman. No one who met Cassandra could forget her infectious laugh and passion for her family. She had the gift of gab and could talk her way out of or into anything. She would feed anyone including neighborhood kids. No matter how much she had, she would give. She was God fearing and meditated on His word every morning. She would always say, “Grandma’s prayers have saved many lives”.
Cassandra is survived by her children Sonya Exford (Daniel Exford), Charles Adams Jr, Katherine Adams, Lenia Adams (Alvin Gibson), Mckenzie Adams (Alicyn Hicks), Sarah Page (Nathan Page) and grandchildren Malcolm Exford, Tellei Exford, Charles Adams 3rd, Antonio Hopkins, Trinity Hopkins, Elijah Adams, Chauncey Humphries, Maryanna Adams, Erin Adams, Audria Adams, Dartece Adams, Savion Thomas, Anastasia Adams, Ariel Adams, Kel-el Mtandwa, Aries Gibson, sister Yvonne Washington, Betty Wiley, Shriley Johnson, nephew Terry Barlow and a host of other nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Dethell and Lenia Toney, husband Charles Adams Sr, daughter Laquita Adams-Bello, and son Aaron Adams.
