Cassandra was born on May 29, 1991, in Bay City, Michigan, the cherished daughter of Christina (Schooley)Cameron and the late Jeremy James. Cassandra enjoyed working in casinos throughout Michigan and Florida, where she formed lasting friendships and touched the lives of many. Sandra was known for her artistic soul, her creativity in building Legos, and her love for cooking meals. Cassandra grew up surrounded by family and friends who adored her, and she carried that love into her role as a mother. Her two children, Ian Kohnke and Allison Wing, were the center of her world, and she poured her heart into raising them with love and care. Cassandra will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her strength, and the deep love she had for her family. She had a way of making others feel safe and cared for, and her laughter and light will never be forgotten.
Cassandra is lovingly survived by her mother, Christina(Schooley) Cameron, and her stepfather, John Cameron; her children, Ian Khonke and Allison Wing; her siblings, Jessica James (Sebastian), Kayla Biskner (Justin), Kaitlyn James, and Lydia James; her stepbrothers, Jestin Cameron and Zaq Cameron; as well as her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. She is reunited in heaven with her father, Jeremy James, and all of her grandparents.
A memorial service to honor Cassandra's life will be held on September 14, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home Pinconning Chapel. Friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Following the service, Cassandra will be laid to rest beside her father in Pinconning Township Cemetery, Pinconning, Michigan followed by a luncheon at the Tribal Center in Standish, Michigan. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate the life of a woman who meant so much to so many.
Though her time here was far too short, Cassandra's memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
