Cassandra Matamoros

Cassandra Matamoros, 35, beloved Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Niece and Friend was called home on May 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 8, 1989, to Gabe and Yvette Matamoros of Farmington NM.

Cassie loved God, her girls & her family more than anything. Always trusting in His plans. She loved drawing, baking and fishing. She loved showing her creativity by crafting, party planning and drawing. We all know she definitely loved her body art, styling hair and making people laugh whether it be a good scare or a good joke. She had a beautiful soul and radiated kindness.

She is preceded in death by her two angel babies, brothers Joshua and Gabriel. Grandparents Antonia Aguilar, Angel Aguilar, Connie Seligman Sanchez and Donald Sanchez Sr.

Survived by daughters, Mariah and Aliyah; parents, Gabe and Yvette; sister, Cephra and brother, Josh; nephews, Chooch, Gabriel and Mathias as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.

Rosary and Mass will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 410 N Allen Ave, Farmington, NM. Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am with Mass to follow at 10:00 am. Inurnment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. The reception will be held at Sacred Heart Parish Center.

Pallbearers: Henry Valdez, Michael Seligman, Reggie Castillo, Dominick Castillo, Josh Matamoros, Chooch Matamoros, Gabriel Matamoros and Mathias Goodnoh.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cathy Lincoln Memorial Foundation and currently in process of setting up a memorial fund for Cassie's girls.
