Ms. Cassandra Dawn Martin Rorrer, age 38 of Madison, North Carolina passed away at her home on Friday, January 10, 2025. She was born in Patrick County on June 26, 1986, to Curtis Lee Martin and Patricia Kamm Nelson. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, James and Velma Cassady. Cassandra enjoyed shopping, especially in thrift stores, white chocolate, watching Teen Mom, and a cold Sundrop. She was loved by everyone she met and will be greatly missed. Cassandra loved her family dearly and adored her children, they were her whole world.
Left to cherish the memories of Cassandra Rorrer are her two loving children, Haley Martin and Austin Rorrer, both of Pine Hall, North Carolina; two special bonus-children, Hunter DeHart of Patrick Springs, Virginia and Aven Bullins of Pine Hall; her adoring mother and step-father, Patricia Kamm Nelson (Kevin) of Mayodan, North Carolina; step-brother, Dustin Nelson (Misty) of Pine Hall, North Carolina; maternal grandparents, William and Renate Cassady of Stuart, Virginia; step-grandmother, Diane Nelson of Madison, North Carolina; two aunts, Mary Ann Lawson (Dean) of Stuart, Virginia and Malissa Trent (Willie) of Spencer, Virginia; one uncle, Carlis Martin (Sharon) of Stuart, Virginia; special cousins, Chelsey Withrow, Kalayna Cassady, Danielle Melillo, Landon Lawson, Thomas Turner, Willow Grace Custer, Lylah Sawyer, and Lexie Turner; beloved dogs, Mojo and Gypsy; and special friend, John Bullins of Pine Hall, North Carolina.
The celebration of life service for Cassandra Martin Rorrer will be held at Moody Funeral Home on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in Stuart with Pastor Mark Wright officiating. Burial will immediately follow in New Beginnings Baptist Church Cemetery Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services on Saturday afternoon and at other times at the home of her aunt, Mary Ann Lawson, 106 Turkey Trot Lane, Stuart, VA 24171.
