Catherine N. Barron, of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on December 18, 2025, at Presbyterian Manor, at the age of 77.
She was born on May 17, 1948, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Fred and Betty (Laschen) Phelps.
Cathy is survived by her loving children, Eddie (Kristie) Barron Jr. of Fredericktown and Amy (Brent) Hahn of Farmington; her cherished grandchildren, Alyssa (Tyler) Herzog, Matthew (Shelby) Barron, Kyle Bramhall, and Elaina Barron; her siblings, Betsy Jarvis of Barefoot Bay, Florida, and Fred Phelps Jr. of St. Charles; along with nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.
Cathy worked for many years as a business manager at several area automobile dealerships, including Turley Dodge, Parker Banks, and Festus Ford. She was an avid bowler and a proud member of the Missouri Women’s Bowling Association. Cathy was also a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Above all, Cathy treasured time spent with her family and especially enjoyed traveling across the country with her grandchildren, creating memories that will be forever cherished.
An inurnment will take place at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
