Catherine Clorice Bonin, a cherished resident of Crowley, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, just days shy of her 72nd birthday. Born on November 7, 1953, in Kinder, Louisiana, Catherine was a beloved daughter, mother, and grandmother whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.
Catherine found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, from sitting outside by a fire to enjoying the beauty of nature. She had a special fondness for her dogs, Candie Girl and Zoey, who were always by her side. Wandering through flea markets brought her delight, where she could uncover little treasures and enjoy the company of others.
As a devoted homemaker, Catherine's days were filled with love and laughter, especially as she cherished every moment spent with her family. She is survived by her life partner, Patrick Comeaux; her daughter, Kimberly (Horace Edwards, Sr.) Laughlin and her son, Raymond Dupont, and her precious grandchildren, Nathaniel, Brianna, Bella, Horace, Kameron and Makenzie.
Catherine was a lady of her word, whose spirit shone brightly in her steadfast commitment to her loved ones. She will be remembered for her generous heart, her unwavering dedication to her family, and her ability to make every gathering feel special.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Laurence Bonin; parents, Cleve Duhon and Mathilda Pelican; and her daughter, Donna Begnaud; and siblings, Sally Duhon, Geneva Comeaux, Louis Duhon and David Duhon.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the Public Viewings on November 4, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and again on November 5, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings, LA.
