Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the Matthews Funeral Home in Jennings, LA, for Ms. Betty Babineaux, 76, who passed away early Monday November 10, 2025, at the Camelot Brookside Nursing Home in Jennings, LA.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Matthews Funeral Home in Jennings, LA from 10:00 AM and will continue overnight, resuming on Thursday, November 13, 2025, until her service time at 2:30 PM.
Reverend Kyle Sonnier will officiate her service with interment to follow at the North Hanks cemetery in Crowley, LA.
Ms. Betty was born in Crowley, LA on November 18, 1948, to the late Mr. Eddie Breaux, Sr. of Iota, LA and Mrs. Amelia Breaux of Crowley, LA. She worked as a Route Carrier for the American Press newspaper for many years. A beloved mother and grandmother whose memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Karen Babineaux (Salu Garcia) of Jennings, LA, Margaret Babineaux of Crowley, LA and Marlyn Sue Barbier (Tommy) of Crowley, LA; her sons, Darren Stelly (Sabrina) of Longville, LA, David Stelly and Houise Babineaux (Sandy) of Westlake, LA; twenty grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two sisters, Norma Perry and Mary Ann Doucet (Dale); two brothers, Hank Breaux (Sherry) and Eddie Breaux (Sue).
She is preceded in death by her husband, Loney John Babineaux; her parents, Eddie Breaux, Sr. and Amelia Breaux; son, L.J. Babineaux; daughters, Cherly Fuselier and Lowanna Artman; two sisters, Anna Peacock and Emma Breaux; one brother, Jessie Breaux.
